What is truly amazing is how many liberal Democrats actually make statements like this one from a Facebook Friend with a STEM Masters degree and is nearly 60 and lived through all of this history:

"So tell Me Dean, when has Iran attacked ANY country without provocation in the last 50 years??? The idea that Iran wants to build nuclear weapons so it can attack th US is so STUPID it boggles the mind. It’s even worse than Cheneys argument that inspired the Iraq war."

One has to wonder how an intelligent person with access to the news available in the modern world can be so profoundly ignorant of what lies around them. Would it surprise you to learn that these same folks also seem to explain much of the world with antisemitic tropes? I am not saying that being antisemitic causes this disconnect from the real world...but rather that this disconnect from the real world leaves one open to all sorts of nonsensical beliefs including, sadly, antisemitism, Trump Derangement Syndrome, etc.

Ayn Rand had an answer for your query: “you can ignore reality, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.” Also, there’s man’s most prominent sin, ENVY, and the shortest path to being right, which is making others wrong.

Very true. The real reason for Trump Derangement Syndrome is that Trump's common sense policy successes and brash refusal to kow tow to the utter nonsense of the progressives demonstrates that the core beliefs of the Left are simply wrong...and they cannot live with their world's failure to become reality. They hate Trump because he is the messenger who cannot be ignored!

Also very true! May I embroider your wisdom a bit? I have an interest (and a degree) in psychology, but most importantly, I crave the answer to the musical question: “what’s it all about, Alphie?” The human mind is a wonder of the universe, very complex and subject to aberration, like all complex systems. When stressed (like now), many use their intuition (abductive reasoning) to relieve the anxiety of dealing with the unknown. This is most prominent in the delusions (incorrect assumptions) and hallucinations (manufactured perceptions) that plague schizophrenia, and to a lesser extent, immature, developing minds. The schizoid personality quite literally is watching a different movie on his internal mind-screen than the rest of us. Add to this the always-found “rigid thinking” that makes it impossible to reason with the sufferer (they are right and you are wrong) and it become apparent why no one knows the cause of mental illness. If you find plumbing the depths of the wishful-mind difficult, pity the job of a modern psychiatrist; then add Scientology.

A very good article. A good reminder of the evil nature of these people and the long justification of the current action .

It is refreshing to see someone acknowledge Jimmy Carter’s pivotal role in the rise of the Islamic Republic of Iran. His legacy paved the way for 47 year reign of state-sponsored terror against those out of favour with the 'Shiite Pope,' who has become a figure of fetish and devotion for the global left.

These descriptions of what Iran did to people… and what they did recently to their own citizens… and what keeps being done by Muslims in the name of Islam… these are the actions we call TERRORism.

These actions are meant to evoke terror in the people they see as the enemies of Islam, the “non-believers”.

I feel we need to keep clarifying what “terrorism” refers to.

A lot of incidental facts were left out of this one sided claim.

Iran’s anger with the US begins in 1953, when the democratically elected President, Mohammad Mossadegh, was ousted from office in a CIA- and MI6-backed coup on 19 August 1953. The event is commonly referred to in Iran as the “28 Mordad” coup, after the corresponding date in the Iranian calendar.

Jump ahead to 1979, when the Iranian Revolution toppled the US-backed Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, ushered in the Islamic Republic under Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The revolution stemmed from deep-seated grievances against Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who had ruled since 1941 as an autocratic monarch closely aligned with the West, particularly the United States and Britain. The Islamic Revolution was fueled by a variety of factors:

Repression and autocracy — The Shah’s regime used secret police (SAVAK) to suppress dissent, political parties, and opposition figures.

Rapid Westernization — His White Revolution (launched in 1963) promoted land reform, women’s rights, and modernization, but alienated traditional landowners, the clergy (ulama), and conservative segments of society who saw it as eroding Islamic values and cultural identity.

Economic inequality and inflation — Oil wealth boomed in the 1970s, but benefits were unevenly distributed, leading to corruption, urban migration, and economic hardship for many.

Foreign influence — Resentment lingered from the 1953 CIA-backed coup that restored the Shah after ousting Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh, who had nationalized oil.

Religious revival — Shi’a Islam provided a unifying force against perceived secularism and imperialism.

As tensions simmered, the Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, sensing weakness in post-revolutionary Iran and with the encouragement of the US, launched a full-scale invasion of Iran. Though the US did not directly orchestrate the assault, Washington......providing critical military and intelligence support to prevent an Iranian victory, fearing that it could destabilize the Gulf.

.....Iraq escalated with chemical weapons, deploying mustard gas and nerve agents like tabun against Iranian troops and civilians. The US government facilitated Iran’s chemical weapons program. .... US actions prolonged the war, which claimed at least 500,000 Iranian lives, leaving scars of poison and fire across Iran’s battlefields. And the American public still wonders why Iran chants Death to America......more-

Under the last Shah Iran was westernizing, it was no longer recognized from the 1980's period. But such is the propaganda we are being fed by the ghouls of Zionism.

Thank you! For all the snowflakes who claim this fight is an “illegal war” - go get stuffed. Iran started this. We shall finish it.

Islam is in constant war with the rest of the world: "Jihad" means the mandate to spread Islam, which is happening in the West by breeding out the inhabitants, while using their welfare system (one Muslim male visiting his wives, who are "single mothers"...

Other than that, Iran has always been a globalist experiment, just like all the other forms of governments in the 20th century:

Iran is next, following Venezuela, Cuba, Canada, and Mexico, because the global concentration of power has entered a new stage:
